Usher blasts Noel Gallagher

Usher has blasted Noel Gallagher over his comments about Glastonbury headliner Jay-Z.

The R’n’B singer believes the Oasis star is wrong to say Jay-Z shouldn’t headline the music festival, and insists the rapper will prove him wrong

with a spectacular performance.

Usher said: 'It really shocked me that he said Jay-Z was the wrong choice. Jay-Z is an incredible artist and headliner.

'I saw him perform at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, and you’re not getting better than that.'

Usher is not the first person to blast Noel, who claimed booking Jay-Z was 'wrong' and went against the festival’s 'tradition of guitar music'.

The Stereophonics have returned to Australia in support of their 2007 album 'Pull The Pin', and while they were here showing off their new stuff

fans were given a greatest hits set.

The gig was in a large part made up of instantly recognisable classics - and the band sure has had a lot of them. 'Just Looking', 'Local Boy In The

Photograph', 'Mr. Writer' (a song about a journalist who had toured with them, then proceeded to write about singer Kelly Jones' head and arse

interconnecting), 'Hurry Up And Wait' and many more mingled in with some obligatory new tracks.

Crowd sing-alongs to 'A Thousand Trees' and 'Just Looking' were notable highlights of the gig and the audience even seemed excited to hear the

powerful 'Devil' from 2005's 'Language. Sex. Violence. Other?' album.....click photo to read on

Kanye West has hit out at the media criticism he received after his concert in Houston, Texas was hit by technical difficulties - insisting the

press were unfair to give him bad reviews.

The Touch The Sky rapper was playing a concert at the city's Woodlands Pavilion on Friday when side screens at the venue failed to work.

And West was accused of launching a tirade of obscenities and storming off stage, only returning when the problem was fixed.

But the star insists he was just frustrated by the technical problems as it would have hindered enjoyment for his fans.....click photo to read on

Exactly three months have passed since Britney Spears slipped away from a psychiatric ward and promptly stirred up a paparazzi car chase, a

scene that looked like the beginning of even more erratic behaviour for the troubled pop star.

In the weeks that followed, Spears started acting out of character, all right: She laid low and avoided the cameras. She spent time with family

members. She found work, and succeeded at it.

With that stability and momentum to build on, it would appear Spears' child-custody hearing Tuesday has the potential for a positive outcome -

as long as she gets it together to show up this time. All indications are that she will.....click photo to read on

AMY WINEHOUSE's junkie husband has sworn his undying love to a secret mistress — and vowed to run away with her and a chunk of the

singer’s £10million fortune.

Jailbird BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL, 25, has been plotting with the mystery blonde during a string of hush-hush prison visits.

The couple have been discussing running away together, with rat Blake telling his lover: “Just say the word and I’ll dump Amy. I love you more

than I could ever love my wife. You’re all that matters to me.”

Jobless Blake — awaiting trial accused of assault and perverting justice — has even PROPOSED to his “well-spoken” admirer.

He said: “I’ll leave Amy and we will be rich beyond our wildest dreams. But you have to marry me. Promise me you will and we can be happy.” ....click photo to read on

poiserite
It 's hard to explain, but it looks like we 're dealing with something that in no way resembles or is connected to the pop culture which surrounds us everywhere today. Listening to them we have the impression, even implication, that quite probably they aren 't capable of doing anything other than playing. They are, in their own way, a unique occurrence. Their whole atmosphere could be described as a combination of a number of associations Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Placebo, Queens Of The Stone Age and Interpol. And we 're not just talking about similarities, but rather the same type of sensitivity. Their songs are solid rock numbers, coming out of the dusk in a slow tempo, enveloped in an aura of psychedelic colours. Add to that poetic lyrics written with feeling; impressional, yet at the same time brimming with existential reflections and the result is that these simple and suggestive guitar compositions, beautifully crafted, acquire a specific charm and a truly promising sound. The Poise Rite comes from Poland, although are currently based in the UK.
Numbmusic
Numb which stands for Never Underestimate Musical Belief were in last 30 of the O2 undiscovered bands competition. They were chosen from the 2,500 artists which were sent to an A&R team at Polydor Records.

Numb are also the first band to appear on a revolutionary Devon based internet TV show called The Melting Pot Studio Sessions , recorded live by Spectral TV at the Music Mill Studios in Newton Abbott, owned and run by legendary producer Malcolm Toft, who engineered Hey Jude by the Beatles and Bohemian Rapsody by Queen. This can be viewed at www.spectralworkshop.tv numb.htm
HelenKeller
Helen Keller was formed as an acoustic duet project by former Kody frontman Gareth Icke and lead guitarist Tim Pritchard. The pair have spent the last few months writing and perfecting new material in their rehearsal studio on the Isle of Wight.

The songs were first aired at Viva Viva in London, followed by festival perfomances at The Nokia Isle of Wight Festival, Americana Festival in Nottingham and the Quart Festival in Kristiansand, Norway. Although the shows recieved great reviews, Gareth and Tim felt that the songs really needed the drive and momentum of a tightly locked rhythm section to achieve their full potential.
